We have an ongoing love/hate relationship with our phone. More technically, we (our household) have received so many robo and telemarketing calls that we hesitate to answer anything with an unrecognized number. I was so glad I did pick this one up!
Besides being someone I had met previously, she gave me the good news that my poem was one of the honorable mention pieces chosen by the Wisconsin Writer’s Association for their Jade Ring Contest. Despite not being the first place winner, it was my very first winning piece. It was also my first contest entry in a very, very long time.
